    resolved [RESOLVED] error message TypeError...

    I am getting the following error when I run the movie at the end:

    TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
    at MethodInfo-41()
    at flash.utils::Timer/flash.utils:Timer::_timerDispatch()
    at flash.utils::Timer/flash.utils:Timer::tick()

    I checked the names are ok and I can't find anything else that could be wrong. Can somebody give me some suggestions where the error could be?

    Thanks.

    It's impossible for anyone to answer your question with the little information you gave. Did you try checking the debugger? Are you sure you have an event parameter in the handler?

    A new error message

    I did manage to sort out that error somehow, but now i getting some other error messages. I was moving things around in the movie, inserting some frames and so on.
    Now everytime I click on something I get this error:

    TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert flash.events::Event@2c0ae21 to flash.events.MouseEvent.

    This error keeps repeating. Please help. have no idea what it means.

    You have an eventListener hooked up to a regular event when it should be a mouseEvent...find the function it's talking about and change the parameter to Event instead of MouseEvent.

    Thanks for the tip. With your help I now managed to find the cause of the problem. Thanks again.
