    RE:VOLVE movie clip

Matrix style editing. Very well done. The rider is 4 time world champ.

Cool editing and really nice camera work that really takes sequence still shots to the next level but I still don't get the point of the movie?

The point of the movie is to make you want to purchase one of his $1600 kites.

    Cool commercial none the less.

I was just wondering what the little clips between him "surfing" was about? Like a documentary about him or whatnot.

The kite company Flexifoil made a Pro Model for him. This kite is supposed to be pretty good. It's just a promo for Aaron and his equipment. But the editing by Andy Gordon was top notch. Thought the graphics geeks here would like the eye candy and see a glimpse of the future of HD video editing. This is not a Big budget film. Just a talented crew with a little creative vision. And some epic riding.

    Finally found it.
I was searching the wrong terms.
I should have been looking for "bullet time".
Here's how the "Matrix" effect is done with 120 digital and 2 motion cameras.

On the original Matrix dvd there is a making of section that shows it all.

That was cool. I love the editing, like the "bullet time" effect. It seems to have been done with a single camera. If you don't want the illusion spoiled, don't read on.

I think they filmed him jumping from two different angles, then they showed the jumping up from the first angle and the landing from the other angle. Then they filmed the background only while rotating the camera fast, making it look like the world spins around quickly. Then they took the last frame of the first shot and the first frame of the last shot and edited out the background, leaving only him. Then they tweened from one picture of him to the other, superimposed on the moving background.
