The Illusionist
I thought it was pretty good. Though, predictable. A more clear revealing of how the "ghost" trick worked at the end would have been a better pay-off, imo. Also, wouldn't the whole plot have been blown up when the woman's real family came looking for the body?

scream 4 was legit. I loved how aware it was of itself.

The Searchers on Blu-Ray. A great film and in a format that does justice to VistaVision.

Just saw "Enemy At The Gates".
Jude Law and Ed Harris as dueling snipers hunting each other during the WWII battle of Stalingrad.
Once you get past the Russian's British accent and the German's American accent it's a good movie for war movie buffs.

Been putting DVD's on my other laptop while I study and work since I'm sick to death of my playlist. Started with the LoTR trilogy which turned into a full on fantasy kick including anything with a sword in it. I'm starting to talk like a knight.

I hope you're including the old school Excalibur and Conan in the study.

Well using the term legit I was just saying that it didn't totally suck
I was very skeptical of where it would go after the last trilogy ran into the ground. Scream 1 was a great movie when it came out. It really rejuvenated the genre and made fun of itself all at the same time. Then scream 2 came out and it was already starting to reach and by the 3rd it was in the ground. I'm really glad that they waited 10 years for this film to come out. It let the genre progress into what it is today. It gave itself enough time to build up enough material to make fun of it(and itself) and make the same impact as the first one did when it came out.
In my opinion it didn't have the same impact as the first when it came out but it had a really nice balance of humor and the level of horror that fans are expecting these days.

@FL, Excalibur was last night and King Arthor the night before that. I don't have Conan or Kingdom of Heaven but I did go as far as watching the Merlin and Merlin's Apprentice mini-series. Was actually cool to see so many takes on the Arthor/Merlin/Excalibur myth back to back. Today was Reign of Fire. Not quite swords but dragons fit the bill. Running low so I've asked a friend in the states to send me a chunk of his massive DVD collection.

Vanishing on 7th Street = fk'ing terrible. flatlined from go.
I am Number 4. Took while to win me over but cracks the fk'ing whip towards the end.
Needs to be said, the diner scene in Death Proof is one of the best un-cut shots in history.

Linkoln lawer is nice, for once the villian does not have superpowers and does not cause good guy tremble with fear...
Hanna is about as "flatlined" as Vanishing on 7th Street but.... I like young blondes.

oh come on, the daddy being not a real daddy is the only twist I could not foresee. the fact that she's genetically engineered was made obvious from movie ads, so what's left?

guy no need to post spoilers. if you didn't like it that's fine, but to say that it is a bad movie is just a terrible opinion.
Go watch an M.Night movie.
