Not throwing in the towel. Just been busy. Hopefully I will resurrect the photo forum some time in the near future. I've been promising it for WAY WAY too long.

I didn't have whiskey but I did accidentally drink a whole bottle of rum the other week.

Yeah its been harder and harder to enjoy FK as much as in the past. I would seriously love the to reboot the entire domain into something modern, useful and social. Long before I started using the forums FK was a great resource for tuts, source and stock. I think a complete reset could make it one of the key destinations again even for the Flash elite who were all members here at one time.

Some forums still thrive elsewhere while others have faded. Subject matter is the major player here. Less people use flash then did in the heyday. FK has been bought and sold and gone through company downsizing more times then you can shake a stick at. The buyers have to turn some change in advertising to cover the purchasing cost. Adding costs such as revamping don't do much for the bottom line.

To get fk revamped you'd need to expand into an area that is expanding and everyday hobbiest as well as professionals would have an interest in. I just don't see it happening with app dev which should be the new thing that all clamour to everywhere.
