Watching Network for the first time. wow. what an amazing movie...especially in today's world. unreal.
Next to Jesus Camp, it's close to the scariest 'true to life' movie i've ever seen.

You don't have the option to switch screens or is there only 1?

That is why I hate drive ins. They pick all the good blockbusters and pair them with crap. The one in NH had 3 screens so for the second movie if you really wanted to you could just tune into another screens station.

this drive in is pretty decent, they normally pair a good blockbuster with a movie from ealier in the year, things that would go well together.
but these two movies are like peanut butter and ass.
not a good mix.

watched JCVD yesterday. Really, really, really, really good movie. Who knew Van Damme could act. It was cool, funny, sad. His monologue is great.
Really, it's a must see.

MARTYRS is a ****ED up movie. It is another classic coming from the French directors camp. They are really starting to up the game over there in terms of horror/suspense. Soon enough we will start to see American remakes of that now that we've whored the Asian ghost horror to death.

s. Darko was surprising not crap. You just have to remember the pace of Donnie Darko.
Oh and, Gran Torino, manliest flick since 300.

I've been meaning to watch S.Darko but heard it was just awful. Maybe I'll give it a try.

Ok so me and the lady decided to sit down and watch S.Darko upon your suggestion that it wasn't crap. I'm not sure if we saw the same movie or whatever you're smoking you need to share. That movie was horrendous and shames the original. The acting was awful. I mean the girl who played Sam must have never acted before because her performance was super weak and her little friend was just as bad. The supporting roles like the cool cigarettes rolled in the sleeve guy were almost hard to watch. The plot was just a mess, period. Then comes the script and dialog. I was speechless on how bad it was. The scene where they are in the guys brothers room and she just stands up and takes that beer, asked where the bathroom was, and said she was freaked out just came out of nowhere and that was just the tip of the iceberg of random useless dialog that was thrown into almost every scene. The only things that sorta made up for watching that was the cinematography. They had some pretty slick shots once in a while but the beginning was shot and edited together WAY to indie wannabe for me. They were just trying way too hard.
Also having that crazy kid try to look like Donnie was dumb.
I literally fell asleep before it was over so I have to go rewatch the last 20-30 minutes. I really hope some miracle of film happens then and salvages this pile.
