Also so you can watch a whole season as fast as you want without waiting for weekly episodes to air and no commericials.

I hate that I am caught up with the office, weeds, and dexter. They are good enough now that I am playing the waiting game and it sucks.

Yeah I have read all about it. Seems pretty intense. But I would feel like a poser flying down to a country where there are shamans and just being some tourist and doing it.

what's FTA? from what i could see (a very quick google), that's a freeview box?

sky+ is like tivo i believe. it's a satelite tv receiver with a built in hard drive, so you can record, pause, rewind live tv. that's what tivo does, right?

FTA = Free To Air channels/signal..

Tivo doesnt have to be used in conjunction with a sat. receiver.. but I understand now.

FTA boxes..are well.. you get whatever is being broadcasted over the air..

some of it is encrypted..(some of it is not)

I can't believe they canceled Freaks & Geeks that show had A LOT of potential and it was finally moving into a good direction. I will say that the first few episodes probably put a lot of people off so the following wasn't big enough for the studio. Too bad.

Anyone catch Fringe? I watched the premier last night and I think it has A LOT of potential to be the new x-files. Multiple layers of agencies, sciences, sci-fi elements and some scary moments. Great fk'n title effect too.

I caught some of it.. and I really liked it so far. I think the 'dad' role was good in it.. although some crazy ideas the way they presented it made it seem believable/acceptable IMHO..

My wife was watching 90210 so I missed some of the (Fringe) episode....and didnt catch it in its entirety

    off topic:

what movie was it that Samuel Jackson was a cop/detective that accidentally got shot in the eye (or under it) during the main characters 'escape or crime'..??

later on the main character was in the cop car.. one of the cops up front turns around and its SLJ..and the main character is like (great).. they stop the car.. SLJ un-cuffs the main character, and wants to fight with him.. bu the main character doesnt want to..maintains it was an accident.??

    On the topic of Fringe

I actually liked it, I was not a big fan of x-files however (dont hate me) but I think Fringe has a lot of potential to be great and I can't wait to see next week's episode.

Also Dexter started back up! What does everyone thing of the premier?
