is it possible to change a font in an swf?

i am using a swf file but it has an embedded font which does not display cyrillic characters. changing system fonts, decompiling it did not work - it never worked after compiling it back. is there any way to replace or delete existing fonts without actually decompiling the file? any suggestion are highly appreciated

I'm going to go out on a limb and say... no.

I'm also going to assume that you don't have the actual .fla since you're decompiling... but if you do, there are options for embedding a font. You can include just letters, just numbers, special characters, the entire face, etc. You'd want to make sure to include everything.

(I know, I'm not much help, sorry!)

that's exactly the point - i don't have the .fla file. i hoped there would be a way to to go into the .swf file and manually change all the references to the fonts. and i am quite sure it is possible but that would require a very deep understanding of the flash coding which i don't have. thanks anyway for your reply, appreciate it
