According to a controversial Federal Trade Commission
report released Tuesday, food manufacturer Hostess may have
intentionally marketed "Twinkies" -- a dangerous snack cake linked to
obesity and hyperactivity -- to minors.
"There is substantial evidence supporting the claim that, for decades,
Hostess has carried out an aggressive marketing campaign with the goal
of promoting Twinkie use among underage consumers," the FTC report
read. "Our nation's children have been targeted for the consumption of
these fattening, unwholesome cakes at a vulnerable age, before they are
old enough to make responsible decisions about health and nutrition."
The report also stated that "as a result of Hostess' targeting of
minors, millions of young bodies have been exposed to potentially
harmful substances such as fat, sugar, cholesterol, polysorbate 60,
calcium sulfate, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil and caramel
color."

That article is BS. The kid "sneaks out to eat Twinkies behind a local 7-11?" I think kids today have a lot more to do with their time than that.
I don't even think I've seen a Hostess commercial from recent memory. This one from a long time ago is all that I can remember: link.
The article should have been written about Ronald McDonald and the way he "Pied Piper'd" the kids into the playset before stuffing them with burgers, soda, and fries.

oh you fing kidding me? Of COURSE twinkies is a kids food...who the hell else are they going to market it to? They're not cigarettes...they're a god damned sugar filled snack/pastry.
Did anybody know that Happy Meals are geared towards kids? Oh my god i was soooo surprised when i heard what McD's was doing to the youth of our nation baiting them with toys and filling them with fatty crap. And to think, all those boxes of Fruit Loops i dug through for the prize and here they were trying to make me fat and hyperactive. I'm suing damn it. i am suuuuuing.
And hyperactivity just means too much sugar and not enough room to run. It's not a damed disorder.
Recockulous.

I have actually had those before. It was from a legit cajun restaurant from New Orleans. They moved up here to ****ty ass Rutland because of the hurricane and restarted their business here. I am really glad though. Spicy jumbo, fried pickles, and crawdad wrap- yum.

I prefer the Hockey Puck version... the Hostess Ding Dong.
PS, I don't recommend a Google image search for Ding Dongs unless there is nobody else in the room that could be looking over your shoulder.
