I think they were scared that then they would want to get other stuff from the outside aswell, and then all they'd build would slowly be destroyed. I can't exactly remember either, I can only remember it was quite a good film until they revealed that. It's almost as bad as waking up at the end and it was all just a dream.

Silver, J-Horror isn't all bad, I mean, sure they're all about pale faced physcopaths but the Grudge and (the camera one? I actually just forgot it ) aren't that bad if you watch the subtitled movies. The problem is America can't seem to remake 'em properly.

My friend managed to get a copy of the subtitled [REC] after someone said about it on here. I want to see the new version of that as well as the happening. It doesn't look too bad. Stupid question, do they turn into zombies afterward? Only the redband trailers showed it but there were 1 or 2 short clips with people who looked seriously battered up who were walking about.

they just didn't want the other village people to know the truth and they assumed they could put enough fear in the villagers that they would not even try to leave. the villagers thought they were in the middle of nowhere and that there was nothing but the woods beyond their village anyway if i'm not mistaken.

if one of the "monsters" wouldnt have accidentally got killed i dont think they would of found onut the truth.

i hadnt seen it in years and i only watched it once, it had so much potential, but that twilight zone ending screwed it all up.

if The Happening (which i'm starting to hear it wasnt so good) turns out as bad as the village and lady in the water then i think the majority of people will write him off. right now it seems to be about half and half.

The Happening was like he took an decent concept and some pretty decent actors(Mark Wahlberg was a badass in The Departed) and just butchered the story and told them all to forget their acting skills.
