July 22, 2008 - In an interview with Forbes, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata apologized for the company's lackluster E3 media briefing and said that while it chose not to display more core games, that doesn't mean that the developer isn't working n them.
"If there is any perception that Nintendo is ignoring the core gamers, it's a misunderstanding and we really want to get rid of that misunderstanding by any means," Iwata said. "We are sorry about [the E3] media briefings, specifically for those who were expecting to see Nintendo show something about 'Super Mario' or 'Legend of Zelda.' However, the fact of the matter is the so-called 'big titles' need a long, long development period. ... We really didn't think this year's E3 media briefing was the time to do so."
kinda refreshing that they at least acknowledge and appologize that there presentation was a letdown to the core gamers.

I still haven't played since the last time I was playing with you. I might get back into it but I got bored of that really fast haha.
I think I am finally going to load up HL2: EP2 and finish the second half.
I have been in such a game slump it's sad.

Well half life and half life 2 were two of my all time favorite games. I have a pretty broad taste, I like FPS's, pretty much anything but MMORPGs or sports games. Things similar to Age of Empires kept me pretty entertained as well. I don't mind Single player RPGS.

instantaction.com should tide you over till you get a game you like.
the new civilization game might be good to pickup if you like that type of game.
alot of really cool games will be coming soon so alot of gamers are in a holding pattern atm with older games.

I heard rumors of Black Mesa being finished around April of next year. I know where I will be once that finally hits its final release.
I almost opened up Trankmania again last night. I might have a few goes at that tonight as well. That games gets hard pretty quick.

My new toy....
Sandbox 2 editor for the CRYengine2. So much fun trying to make my own game. Easy to do also. Combine that with the free Softimage XSI Mod editor(free) and you can make a (almost) production quality game in a few months.
If anyone has Crysis, let me know.
