    FLV help please

    Hi, I have just built a customised FLV in Flash CS3 using Action Script 3.0

    I would like to add 3 elements to the FLV player;

    - Fade in and Fade out between the first frame logo button and when the movie starts right after I click on the (first frame) button. I have found an action script to do this but I think it's not working because Action Script 3.0 does not recognise it.

    //(FRAME 1)

    stop();

    import com.mosesSupposes.fuse.*;
    ZigoEngine.register (PennerEasing, FuseItem, FuseFMP);

    FuseFMP.writeFilter(_root.transistion.NAME OF IMAGE, "DropShadow", {blur:15, quality:5, color:0xFFFFFF, strength:1.5,distance:0});

    ZigoEngine.doTween({target:_root.transistion.smalo go, _alpha:100, Blur_blur:0, time:1, easing:"easeInSine"});

    mc_btn.onRelease = function ():Void {
    ZigoEngine.doTween({target:_root.transistion, _fade:0, time:1,easing:"easeOutSine"});
    ZigoEngine.doTween({target:NAME OF IMAGE, _fade:0, DropShadow_blur:50, Blur_blur:50, time:1, easing:"easeInSine", func:function(){_root.vid.vid_flv.play();}});
    ZigoEngine.doTween({target:_root.vid, _fade:100, time:2, easing:"easeOutSine"});
    };
    mc_btn.onRollOver = function ():Void {
    ZigoEngine.doTween({target:NAME OF IMAGE, DropShadow_blur:18, DropShadow_strength:3,time:0.5,easing:"easeOutSine "});

    };
    mc_btn.onRollOut = function ():Void {
    ZigoEngine.doTween({target:NAME OF IMAGE, DropShadow_blur:15,DropShadow_strength:1.5, time:0.5, easing:"easeOutSine"});

    };

    //FRAME 2

    stop();

    setTimeout(restart,3000);

    function restart():Void {

    import com.mosesSupposes.fuse.*;
    ZigoEngine.register (PennerEasing, FuseItem, FuseFMP);
    ZigoEngine.doTween({target:_root.transistion, _fade:0, time:1, easing:"easeOutSine",func:function(){_root.play(); }});

    };

    - When the movie finishes playing, I would like the flash sequence to go back to Frame 1.
    I have found an action script for this but it doesn't work

    function complete(evt){
    gotoAndStop(1);
    }
    myVideo.addEventListener("complete",complete);

    Thanks,

    For starters that's AS2...and a confusing mess of it at that...It looks like the script you're using was based on the fuse engine, which (I believe) never got updated for AS3. As an alternative you might like the TweenLite and TweenFilterLite packages a little more. Both of those pages have little apps that will build out exactly the code you need for an effect, just substitute in your own movieclip (or whatever) at the end.

    If that still doesnt get you where you need to be, try posting again with a wireframe of what you're trying to do so we can get a clear idea of the problem...something like:

    Code:
    frame 1:
         show smallLogo
         hide myVideo

         mc_btn.click:
              go to frame 2

    frame 2:
         hide smallLogo
         show myVideo
         play myVideo

         myVideo finishes playing:
              go to frame 1

    Hi, thanks for the reply
    I have attached the FLA for my custom flv.

    Everything is working fine but I just want to add:

    - Fade out the first frame elements (1. 'this is a test'' and 2. click to preview text) when clicking on the ''this is a test'' button and fade in movie like crossfade effect I guess.

    - And simply have the movie fade out at the end and go to first frame where the ''this is a test'' animation takes place.

    thank you for your help.

    here is the wireframe

    Frame 1

    show logo
    Hide myVideo
    when button clicked > Go to frame 2

    Transition from frame 1 to frame 2

    - logo fades out
    movie fades in with buttons

    Frame 2

    - Movie plays
    - fade out movie and buttons when it is finished.
    - when movie is finished go back to frame 1 with logo

    Attached is a version with some fades...I included a copy of TweenLite, a simple tween engine. Also, I think as you go on that you're going to run into a lot of headaches using Video objects and NetStreams to work with video...look into the FLVPlayback component, it makes things a lot easier.
