    Actionscript and Applescript?

    Can anyone help me figure out if there is a way to communicate between AS3 and applescript? Like pass a variable from AS to AppleScript?

    There is no way to send data from Flash to AppleScript.

    If you don't have a LOT of variability you can fake this by setting up several external scripts ahead of time and deciding which one to call from the Flash side. It's not a great solution, but it can work for small sets, or even larger ones if you can automate the production of the scripts and generate the required ActionScript code.
