    [Complete] First game!

    Hi,

About 4 weeks ago I finally got serious about learning actionscript 3.0 and set a goal of getting something finished. I normally fizzle out on new endeavours (around about the time when things start getting difficult) so I am really happy I stuck at it. Its not the greatest but to me it feels complete for a first effort and I learnt a lot along the way. Looking forward to starting project number 2 and learning more!

    Made in mxmlc: CircleRound

    Congrats on your first game.

It wasn't very attractive to me at all. Game play or presentation. I found it difficult and sometimes rather annoying trying to maneuver my circle to match the size of another. The controls could use some tweaking. Also, it would make the world of difference polishing up the circles. Just wasn't an attention grabber overall. Almost gave up before even actually starting the game.

Also, it's best to embed the SWF in HTML before showing it off.

Sorry about the ad, I've since added a domain filter to remove it. I don't expect to make any money here, just trying to learn as much as I can by going through and trying stuff out. For example by adding mochiads I learnt the constructor in my swf couldn't access the stage because it was being loaded by another swf, simple stuff but I had only worked with one swf at that point so hadn't come across this yet.

Agreed game play and presentation could be improved, no plans to change this but will keep your welcomed feedback in mind for my next attempt.
