I think that avatar is a mix between the rock guy from Fantastic 4 and maybe lefteye himself? Just a guess......

Anyways, nice job dude!! That made me laugh when i read the text, but i cant seem to find the poop. It is early for me though, maybe when i am more awake..

I'll buy the Thing mixed with Lefty, but where did those gnarly teeth come from?

As for the images, both are great. The first is not the highest quality execution I have seen, but the concept is great, and exploding crap (literally) is always a winner.

The second is cool as well. Very clean and well blended. The plane reminds me of the G.I. Joe jet from back in the day.

    Great start, both of you!

    Thanks for the comments guys!
As far as the poop-use goes, I cut it out from your image, put a flaming orange overlay on it, brightened it up, used smudge tool quite a bit, and viola, I had the beginnings of an explosion effect. I did use a couple more firey explosion stocks in addition to the altered poop, so it is a little hard to separate the poop from the rest when looking at it.

btw, lefteye's avatar is a screencap from a movie called Slither. Good flick. Dumb. But awesome.

Thanks for thinking that my avatar is actually me...i may not be brad pitt, but i'm definitely not that ugly

And O is right, it's from Slither.

Keep these images going guys, just seeing life here makes me want to get an image or battle going.

This actually took much longer than the last 16 hours or so since your volley, it was something I was working on since after my last one, just hoping I'd be able to work in something from your next image. As it turned out, you had a tree silhouette which fits absolutely perfectly. I did a lot of lighting and blending work in this, especially with the rope, the model, and the big tree behind her, and I think it came together rather nicely.

Great work there O. I would say that the blending and lighting work was well worth it. This is a great image and has a real fairy tale quality to it.

I like it a lot. The only (nit picky) things I see are that the girl's foot and hand seem out of focus. The second is that I had to get about 8 inches from my monitor to read the text. Of course that could just be me.

Other than that, it is a great work. I'm curious to know if you "drew" any of this freehand.

...anyone up for an August Madness? Just a thought.

Thanks for the feedback groupof1! I agree, the foot especially always looked wrong to me.
I did redo the hair from scratch using the paintbrush, the smudge tool and the dodge/burn tool. I also did parts of the rope from scratch, e.g. the loop around the jar.
