[RESOLVED] registration point

i am trying to work through a flash tutorial and it wants me to move the registration point to the far left of my image. when i try to move the cross hairs everything is moving.

how can i set the registration point to the far left with out everything moving in flash 8

sorted worked it out. it is the setting when the mc is created.

Hi Kev,

Could you explain how you resolved this? I'm having the same problem. I want to center the registration point (not the transformation point) on my mc, and it seems the only way to do that is to move my whole mc until it is centered over the registration point. Thanks!

i solved the problem by when the mc is created and you have the dialogue box where you give the mc the name there is a small box under the naming section which is made up of smaller squares. depending on which box is coloured in black will set the registration point to that same place on the newly created mc.
