[CS3] Flash Scene order problem

I have a HUGE flash file with probably about 60 scenes. It all seems to play ok until the last 15 or so scenes. I have been troubleshooting this for weeks now and I feel like I am going crazy. The problem scenes that won't play will play fine if I test them individually. The kicker is they also play fine if I move them out of order higher up. I didn't think the scene order inside flash made much difference, but apparently it does. This is a 440 meg fla file, so I don't think I'll be sending it to anyone to help me.
I've deconstructed the problem scenes until there is nothing left and they still don't work.
Can something in a different scene affect another scene?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I would guess you're running up against the 16,000 frame limit. A single Flash movie can only have 16,000 frames. Try breaking up your file into a few files that load one after another and you should be okay.
