Funny how Adobe is always hyping flash as one of the wonders of open source, as the others dont see it in the same way
And thats not counting that now as3 is not ecmascript anymore

Yet, it was touted to have the 'Internet...the real internet.' I don't know...people are always going to sue and whatnot over things they feel they've been slighted over but for a company that touts how they do things...well...just better, I think they really dropped the ball on this one. Why there is no flash is beyond me -- I'm sure the forum geeks in here will have all kinds of reasons why or why not.

At the end of the day, getting flash enabled on the embedded Safari browser doesn't really seem like it was a huge mountain to get over, but it really doesn't matter, as there are plenty of a$$wipes still ready to stand in line for 2 days just for a chance to be the first to see "all of the parts of the internet" that Jobs thinks you should be able to see in your hand. I'll save my $200 and buy another share of AAPL stock instead, thanks.

I think it's a legit complaint. They claim you can get all of the internet when in reality you cant. Apple would probably get on it if more people knew and complained.

Then Lynx will be next on the list to complain about.

If web designers made web compliant web pages then they would be able to get the whole web. Is this Apples fault of the designers fault.

Let's make sure we're on the same page here. I am not claiming fault. The problem is that Apple's entire marketing platform (iPod, iPhone, MB, MB Pro, etc) is that it just works. And it works better. In this instance, it doesn't just work.

While it's a very thinly veiled attempt to attack a company that, in general, does put out very good products, the claim is justified. There's enough content out there that this browser version not only displays incorrectly, but doesn't even display. Again, I don't get the idea of no flash player, but whatever.

Incidentally, it there were an MSPhone or a ZunePhone or some crap, I'm certain that Justin Long would extend his 15 minutes of fame even longer with more ridiculous iPhone vs. zunePhone ads.

A friend of mine has a mac book pro.
He hasn't been able to get the soundcard to work for 7 months.
He's sent it back he's gotten a replacement and still it freaks out on him

He finally got the audio out to work the audio in doesn't and the thing he needs it the most for midi doesn't (in or out)

It just works when it works and just doesn't when it doesn't.

    And I'm the opposite.

I've never had a problem with any component of an Apple computer. And I still loathe the "Cult of the Mac" mentality, but for me, it just does work.

As do most any other computer I've built too, on the PC side.
