    Detecting user's operating system

    Hello,

I was wondering if there is an amazing bit of actionscript out there that allows flash to detect the user's operating system, and from there then open the correct install version of adobe reader (basically just several different .exe files which I already have downloaded).

    I am using actionscript 2.0.

    Appreciate any help!

    Thanks

Dude, this isn't your living room.
Put your clothes back on, get off my couch, and give me back that post button.
You keep banging it like that and it's gonna break.

Now sober up, go back out the way you came in, wander down the hall till you see the door marked "actionscript".
There should be a support group meeting in there right now.

Geez, you've been here since 2002... you should know better by now.

    Apology accepted.

No problem, I combined them all. Problem is... you still posted this in the, as per it's description, the only forum that doesn't really support technical questions at all. In fact, you scrolled past like 20 other forums to post this in the wrong place.

I'll move this for you in the most appropriate location for you. In the future, it's best to post your question in the forum that best suits your inquiry if you want it to be properly answered and/or acknowledged. In the Coffee Lounge, it'll get ignored unfortunately - the Coffee Lounge is for non-serious chat only.

Honestly though, you might want to search for this one. I swear it's been answered before in the past.
