    is a running *.exe not good enough? - or is that you want to leave a copy of the game on the HD (when started from a CD, e.g installer) ?
    Maybe check out Zinc as it propably has routines for returning the programs path and the ability to copy files to a desired path.

    other ideas:
    - bat script
    - adobe AIR and some third party tool to make it an exe

    Click Team (they made STOS for the Atari ST, AMOS for the Amiga, Click and play for the PC, and currently make The Games Factory 2 and Multimedia Fusion) have a free install creator for windows - if that's what you are asking about.

    Yeah there is plenty of free installer creators out there I've used inno setup before and that seems to do the trick.

    I've used a cheap but workable one called EZ Installer.

    Also Adobe AIR is an option.

    What you would do is create the installer via one of the above options and create a file on the cd called autorun.inf inside that file you would have the following

    [autorun]
    open=setup.exe
    icon=myicon.ico

    burn to the cd the autorun.inf, setup.exe and myicon.ico

    The icon parts are optional, they will make an icon appear as the drive icon when you load the cd.

    [autorun]
    open=installSpywareAutomaticly.exe
    icon=myicon.ico
    I know it used to be the standards but on a personal node I am happy that I managed already to disable all autostarts inlcuding USB drives- because I got already infected a few times though this.

    but the icon is a nice addition. ALternativly under windows you can also hide folders, set folder icons and if I am not mistaken folder bakcground images on CD's working from windows ME+

    Searched Google for innosetup tutorials found this on the first page

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CnmtTUpwpw

    And your flash 8 .exe will not be the installer innosetup generates the installer which places your .exe where you would like on the OS.
