    Does this work for you?

We are having issues with our streaming host (we think) and are trying to pin point the problem. Every machine in our office fails to seek this streaming video except for one. My machine at home works fine. My bosses machine at home works fine. My sisters boyfriends machine does not work.

Basically what happens is when the video begins and then you try and seek ahead it freezes. That is the problem. Here is a link. Please post any thoughts/ideas as to why this is happening.

    loading
    connectionError

I get nothing - on a mbp at work...possibly firewall related? Same behavior in webkit and FF.

Hmm thats a first Ive heard of this one. It usually at least starts playing. Did you reload? Maybe it has something to do with a firewall on the streaming server side because I am getting mixed results. Some people say it works and others say it does. I have this same thread spread among 3 different forums.

Using XP professional and Firefox, I was able to skip ahead just fine... Have you noticed any pattern between OS or Browsers? That seems to be the most obvious answer. Otherwise I'm not too familiar with online work with Flash yet.

Ok just got off the phone with our streaming media host and this seems to be a problem now with all their servers. When I originally talked to them on the phone they had heard nothing of this and it was working on their end. They say that this isnt only affecting the flash media, but also the streaming windows media files. Its good that its not something I was doing, but its bad because its out of our control in fixing the issue.

Another symptom they mentioned was it works in some areas and not others which explains why I am getting so many mixed results
