    Merged. And technical questions don't really belong in the Coffee Lounge.

    This one has been covered in the Flash Help Forums. And to summarize; I think the answer quickly was "no".

    It's partially possible. You can use this tool to extract an SWF from an EXE. Then you can use one of the many SWF to FLA programs to restore as much of the original FLA as is recoverable.

    Didn't work.

    I gave the EXE file path, and clicked OK. It says "The EXE file does not contain an SWF file or it is not a standard flash projector"

    Was your projector created with Flash CS4? A 3rd part SWF-EXE tool? I've used it a few times and it's always worked for me.

    no. In Flash CS3 --> File>Publish Settings>Formats Tab>Windows Projector(.exe)
