    Error #2121: Security sandbox violation:

    I have two swf's running on a page one uses computeSpectrum and generates the following error:

    SecurityError: Error #2121: Security sandbox violation: SoundMixer.computeSpectrum: http://dev1.kbrcomm.com/OLA/soundSpectrum_rev2.swf cannot access http://dev1.kbrcomm.com/OLA/ICE_intro_rev9.swf. This may be worked around by calling Security.allowDomain.
    at flash.media::SoundMixer$/computeSpectrum()
    at soundSpectrum_rev5_fla::mc_6/loop()

    http://dev1.kbrcomm.com/OLA/ICE_intro_rev9.swf. is the SECOND flash on the page...

    This error just recently appeared and may be cause by Flash Player 10

    You should not get these errors as long as you test them on the server.

    Oh, but I do....

    The above errors from the dev site are the same (replace url) as the live site...

    This is occurring with FlashPlayer 10!

    I didn't see any errors prior to installing CS4!

    I get them in the debug player. Either allow all possible combinations for your domain using AllowDomain, use a cross domain file, or check your code and verify that your not referencing the file your trying to compute differently than the how the swf in referenced in the browser.

    The following examples are all on individual security sandboxes.

    http://example.com
    http://www.example.com
    http://store.example.com
    https://www.example.com

    Take a look at "Flash Player Security Overview" in the AS3 help. Loading content and accessing data (including computeSpectrum) are handling differently in regards to security. Cancer is right, but if you are loading the file your computing differently than how your swf is running in the browser you'll get a violation.

    Okay, I've looked at that and two things stand out!

    #1 the swf that is reporting the problem is AS3
    #2 the second swf namend in the error message is AS2
    #3 if I add security.allowDomains(); to the first swf there is a MC within it that no longer functions....
