how to ruin my xmas
first the back story.
i moved into my new apartment in september. its in a house converted into three seperate apartments. in the center apartment are the cable and internet hookups that power the rest of the houses cable/internet.
fast forward
the other two residents are gone till january. the family that lives in the middle apartment, decided for some unknown reason that it would be a good idea to turn the wireless router off before they left, so i have been without internet access at home since friday. whats worse, they changed their locks and have not yet given the land lady the correct keys, so when i went and got what she thought was the key it did not work.
What a ****ing disaster.

i dont know if that would constitute karma. It was an act commited by a person. not a random occurance.
However Karma would be if soon as they get home they find out oh look at that the person that has the fuse box turned off the power to our part of the house and is now away for 14 days.

Yes, its internet for the whole house, not for thier part of the house.

do you pay anything extra in rent for it? Id demand payment or some sort of reimbursement.
as a general rule...I cant stand people who cant think outside of their 'bubble'.. and dont make decisions without knowing how it will affect others around them or their surroundings

dude, I told you. Go to the landlord, get the landlord/owner to call a locksmith, and have them pay for that fee. It's under 100 bucks and the owner of the property is the person that's responsible for that.
Surprised that the people that left don't have a cell phone on the landlord's record too. Hmm...
