i hate the MLB. And now with this I hate the yankees even more.

I wish they could funnel that money through the NHL and make that the 'national' sport it should be. The amount of work those guys put into their sport DESERVE more money. Not these douches who stand and sit for 20 minute intervals and run only 1 out of 5 times up to bat for 3 hours. F baseball man. Only NASCAR is worse with their money.

I was sad to see the Angels pull out their offer for Teixeira. He was a great asset this past season and they lost a great player to get him for just half a season.

That NHL strike basically killed enthusiasm for the next few foreseeable years in fringe fans... you know, the ones that didn't name their dog, child, car, or body part "Jagr".

It'll take some time for it to get back to where it was heading.

The half a billion is referring to the combined offers signed by the 3 big free agents (CC, AJ, and potentially Texiera).
