    [v7] Koolmoves Crashing on Export

When I try to export as .swf (or as .swf and html), koolmoves just crashes, every time. No error message, just crashing. I badly need to make this .fun file into an .swf, can anyone offer any insight?

Been using Koolmoves for about 5 years, never had this problem.

    Thanks!!

You might check for updates to your version. Believe 7.01 fixed one crash problem when KM noticed an error.

Does it crash on an existing project or on a new one ?
Does the project contain actionscript code and if so AS1 or AS3 ?

Actually yesterday I had just downloaded 7, on top of my previous 5. This is a new site, never been converted, with no action script. I love koolmoves but i'm totally confused. My poor client is waiting on upload.

Love you guys for responding so fast!

Because of the AS3 implementation Bob has made a lot of changes in KM7. Before it was released it was tested by a group of beta testers but it's possible something in your project didn't occur while testing.

Is it only this project or do all projects cause crashes ?

You could post a .fun file that crashes on your computer so someone else can test it. Another option if you didn't use actionscript and didn't use any of the new components is to go back to a previous KM version for this project if your client is waiting.

Previous version sounds good, gonna try it.

Also, I'm old to Koolmoves but new to the boards - how does one post a .fun file here?

    xoxo!

When you post a reply there are some additional options below the textarea where you type your reply. There's a button there [Manage Attachments] . When you click this button, a popup window appears that allows you to upload and attach a .fun file to your reply.

I'm all over that, thank you!

I downloaded the trial version of KM 6, but it believes it's a trial version and won't let me export. I can still get into my full KM7. Trying to roll the version back so will hopefully let me convert to SWF.

    Feelin' like a newb.

With the exception of not having all the images, it exported ok here.

I'd say the fun file was probably too big.. in future, if you have tons of images it might be better for you to make your pages seperately and import each into the main movie. That way each page loads when you navigate to it, cutting down on loading time from the start. I think there's a 5mb limit on the fun files.
