    Stopping a timeline sound

    I am creating an e-learning to put into an LMS which has sound files. in order to play in the LMS, the sound file has to be in the timeline of the flash file, and not called through attachSound, or attachAudio. I would like to trigger an event after the end of the sound, so i have made a movie clip, placed the sound in the movie clip, and put the event at the end.

    whenever i advance, or back up in my file, the sound continues to play. i've tried stopping the sound by:

    my_sound_mc.stop ();
    and
    my_sound_mc.stopAllSounds ();

    neither of those will stop the sound. The movie will advance, but the sound also continues to play. If I go back to the sound, it restarts, but I will need a way to stop it.

    Does anyone have any advice? thank you....

    I just tried it and it didn't work. I'm trying to trim the file down to a size small enough to post here.

    i was able to really strip down the file to show what is going on with it.

    stopAllSounds ();

    seems to work, but brings about another issue. now, the movie clip with the audio track plays every time the file backs up a frame....
