    3d Standard Software for Flash

Just curious what most people use for 3d in flash. I'm guessing Swift3d and probably 3d Studio Max, but I think 3D Studio Max is overkill, because there are cheaper and easier 3d packages out there. But any info would be helpful. Thanks.

    Hi,

Lee Brimelow made a video on gotoandlearn about using Blender with Papervision3D, making a very simple 3D model from an SVG file, texturing it and importing it.

Blender is certainly one good option for keeping costs down and not being too bogged down in features. I can't say I've used any modeling tool extensively myself, but both Blender and PV3D are free and open source with a wide and growing range of user-made tutorials published.
