Free character resource?

Hi all.

Sorry to sound like a cop-out (....ok....maybe I am copping out a bit), but my animation is terrible. However, I am a competent user of flash and actionscript. I've made an educational website aimed at young children, and wondered if there's any web-based resource where I can download some free flash characters to make it look more fun? Thanks.
