AS3: Loading a predetermined amount of frames?

OK so I screwed up. I didn't plan properly for a project and now the client is saying that the loading time is long (2 mb). Is there anyway I can load just a certain amount of frames and then play them? (External SWF)

If you use a preloader wrapper (see gotoandlearn.com) you should be able to start playing as soon as the framesLoaded property hits a certain point...

Thanks for the reply. I have used another workaround instead. My flash file was extremely heavy cause it contained big jpeg images. I have took them all out and load them on the fly instead when they're needed (There's only ever one at a time).

Reduced my file size from 2.2mb to 680 kb.
