    Hi everyone,

I want to create an interactive Flash movie that has a number of different animations which respond to onmouseover events. Its a map that produces animations within the map when you click on a city. I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this. Does one create one main scene and then a number of other copied scenes (all with the map in it?) Or is there a better way to do this.

    any help would be great
    thanks

personally I would keep it in one scene with the basic map on the main timeline and the individul animations as movie clips positioned on the main timeline.

if it is just small anims on the cities, you could place the anims inside the over state of the buttons. this would be easier to keep track of if ur fla gets bigger. The buttons would then run the anims when mousewas over, no seperate movie clips. All depends really

    I agree with Razor.

    Make the cities buttons.

Edit them, and in the over state, insert another movie clip from the library of the animation that you want to play on mouseover.

That seems the most clean, efficient way.
