    Should I dump Kaspersky...

Appologies if considered a technical question.
    Is this a Kaspersky issue.

I have Kaspersky Internet Security running fine on my laptop.

But I have serious problems on my desktop.

If I try to do a Google search or play something from BBC iplayer

avp.exe and csrss.exe use up 100% CPU. and do not recover untill I restart
    my PC.

I have seen many people with this prob. but no real direction as to how
    to solve.

Webroot Spy Sweeper find nothing. Kaspersky finds nothing.

I also have 2 instances of iexplore.exe in task manager..
    Could these probs be related.

    Many thanks any help.
If someone tells you it can't be done,
it's probally because they don't know how.

It's gotten pretty heavy in the later versions... I've long ditched Kaspersky for Eset's NOD32. Less RAM/process intensive, pretty aggressive to anything suspicious and always in the top 3, if not top in regards to antivirus software.

Same here, I was using AVG, but I switched to Eset last year.

I use Trend Micro - no issues at all.
