    Can I preview Sound in Flash, so I can synch events to it?

    I'm making a little animation, and I want to have certain events happen when certain notes hit in the music...

    Is there a way to scrub through the timeline and preview the sound so I know when to make certain events happen?

    Yes, if you import sound into Flash and place it on the timeline, you can listen to it as you scrub. The only time I've found it doesn't work as well is if the audio is in mp3 format. Other formats (such as .wav) work pretty well.

    Try setting the "Sync" option to "Stream". That helps with syncing the audio to the timeline.
