OK well,
First off congrats.
Next:

The Good.
Controls are smooth. High-score table works fine etc. No noticeable bugs. Weapon upgrading- albeit basic- is a nice feature.

The Bad:
Being brutally honest it's a bit of a boring, basic game. Nothing original or particularly enduring about it at all. Gradient background looks bland, almost clashing with the sprites. Ship design is rudimentary, not much creative juice going in there. AI is also simple. No bosses?

Why does the ship move quickly up and down but slowly left and right?
And bouncing against the edge of the screen, what's the point in that?

Conclusion:
Better than a lot of peoples first efforts, but don't expect Newgrounds.com front page. The game needs work. Don't be disheartened by negative criticism though, instead keep hacking at it.

I can't say that graphics are nice. And no sound effects???

I have to say, that I agree with some of the above, it could look nicer, there could be more polish.

I also feel that you should crash into the enemies rather than just going over them.

But, let's be honest, for a first game, it's good - it plays from beginning to end without falling over, doesn't have bugs, and shows you have ability.

I look forward to seeing your next game!

Well in my opinion you did a good job. It´s really smooth and easy to navigate. But the graphics could be much better and it lacks of no sound.
