10MB flash photo gallery????need some help..

the link above is to the portfolio section of my website. the gallery i made is 10mb in size and takes way too long to load. all of the images are cut in half of quality and yet it is still huge. any tips to get the size down would be great.

For photographs, why not put up a page of (reasonably sized) thumbnails? Site visitors can then still get an idea of what your photography is about, and if they are interested in an image, they can click on a thumbnail to load it up.

yeah i've thought of doing it different ways, do you think there is any way to make the slide effect i have now a smaller size? i see a lot of free flash galleries that use good quality images and are less than 20k in size.

you could try load external images and put preloader on each image. The gallery itself won't heavy, and images will load one at a time.
