    Chlamydia game idea

    Hi there,

I've been asked by my local health service to create a game using flash to promote the idea of 16-24 year olds to go and get tested for chlamydia.

As you can imagine, I'm having trouble coming up with game concepts for this subject matter and was wondering if anyone out there had any ideas?

    Cheers

    my 2c's

    Tick Male or Female
    For Male - Enter Game
    Show 10 pics of Gals
    Select 3 for casual sex
Provide 60's porno music and grunty noises for each selection.
When all 3 choices have been serviced, go to Score page.
Rate from "Jeez, you've been so lucky" to "a full dose of clap takes you to the clinic"
if lucky / Play again ??
if clinic / show horrendous pics of clap infected organs

Yeah Dog's close... Your pitch will probably impress them if the game is designed around making the point that it doesn't matter what your partner looks like, they could still be infected, and the other part of that puzzle/lesson is use of protection.

Thanks for the help Dog and Ray.
I did toy with the idea of creating a simple platform or pacman style game, but this idea does seem a lot more effective at getting the point across.

    Thanks again

    Argh, change of plan.
I put forward this idea and they are adamant that they want some sort of platform/shoot-em-up

Was thinking of a side-scrolling game where the player travels across the game world shooting the disease as they try to attack to the player.

Across the game world there will be power-ups in the form of little icons representing screenings and tests that give the player a health boost.

When the player then reaches the end of the game, they are then faced with defeating the clamydia boss. Depending on how many screening/test power-ups that were picked up, determines how easy it is to kill the boss.

    Any thoughts?

umm how bout a rail type shooter(like axe games?)....reel in some girls for sex, then either grab medicines to keep disease down, or answer mini mcq quiz to show your awareness!

I say a simple sidescroller fighting clamidia with a sword bring justice upon STD's.

From what I read it sounds like a rpg.

You've got to love client ideas.

"Here's the pitch, an original take on the concept which will raise awareness with our target demographic via osmosis."

"Yeah, that's great, but we were thinking more like Pac man, with a screen that pops up at the start giving some facts about Chlamydia."

    Been there so many times.
