    R.I.P. - J D Salinger

    Jerome David Salinger died 27th January 2010. He was 91.

    His 1951 novel 'Catcher in the Rye' has sold well over 65,000,000 copies since it was published.

    NPR the other day had quoted Salinger saying "I refuse to publish, there's a marvelous peace in not publishing, there's a stillness. When you publish, the world thinks you owe something. If you don't publish, they don't know what you're doing. You can keep it for yourself.'"

    They also mentioned "rumors have Salinger stashing reams of unpublished fiction in a vault."
