    just so everyone knows...

    I am no longer part of the moderation team here at FK, and suspect that I will not be around much anymore at all.

    I won't bore you with the reasons except to say it is not the same forum community I joined 10 years ago, and I have concerns about the future direction of the site which meant that I could not remain on the team with any conscience.

    I will just say thanks for all the fish, and cheers.

    You were the mod that invited me to become a mod - back when Vecta3D and Swift3D were barely at version 1.0, as well as the Plasma3D forum (short lived like the app was) whatnot.

    Weird man, just 5 months shy of 10 years too.

    gerbs, my 10 year anniversary is still coming, I just couldn't work for the man anymore.

    I stopped being really needed when we got more than 1 supermod and the corporation took away my admin access back in 2005, or whenever that happened. Since then I have mostly been a spectator unless I was really needed anyway.

    That's sad...but I hope you don't go away 100%. Flashkit has clearly changed, but what I still love about it (and the only reason I still come back) is the people. We make the community, and when a valuable member quits, I feel more and more inclined to abandon it as well.

    David, you will be sorely missed when you decide not to "be around much anymore at all".

    Not only were you always one of the few voices of reason when threads got out of hand, but you were/are one of the voices most respected by all... especially me.
    I wish you the finest things life can lay at your feet and hope to one day meet you for that beer... hopefully in your neck of the woods, and not Montana.

    I know I said I'd never do this, announce my "retirement" from a forum... but ditto.

    Back to regular member for me, if that... was fun while it lasted. Apparently asking for clarification on rules I'm supposed to enforce when they change and do not make sense to me because... well, basically I'd have to ban or reprimand many folks who would be clueless and asking for a course of action is too much.

    Oh well.
