Hi again... 3 design questions in one day! Whew!
Anyway... I have a graphic that I would like to have "shatter" and fall to little pieces as it exits the stage. I thought that the shape tween might work on this, so I tried that out, but it makes everything very rounded and fluid. Any ideas on how to do what I want? do I have to animate everything piece by peice? uh oh!

hiya LDpro,
fundamental animating question....
the most realistic way would be to animate frame by frame
and piece by piece.
but in flash there almost always exists another way...
why shape tween?
if you got several pieces of a graphic, i'd use the
motion tween along a guide (a line with hard edges at the
"curves").
maybe working with a big mask that shatters or cracks
would be worth a try, too.
i'd like to see the graphic you want to shatter, though.

Thanks for your help Pure | Sin
I'll thank you now for your help in all the posts! THanks. I have yet to start shattering anything yet, but the new site I'm going to be making is going to hopefully have that effect, just b/c I think that it would look really cool. I'll check out this link. Thanks again.

glad to be of help, LDpro.
now you can help me too...
since i'm no native english speaker, i was wondering for
same time what "b/c" could mean...could you help me out
there?
thx

No problem!
pure | sin: "b/c" is short for "because"
I don't know if many other people use it, but I use it a lot. I basically just take the first two letters of the syllables, and that works.
I hope that makes sense b/c it makes typing a lot faster!
