browser won't update revised cs4 flash movie

I created a cs4 flash movie on our website and everything worked fine. When I modified it and uploaded it, however some browsers are not loading the new movie unless they clear their cache (IE 7, Safari so far).

Is there some way I can tell the browser to grab the updated version (same name) automatically?

    Thanks.

After I update my movies, I just REFRESH and most of the time it will get the updated version, but like you said some browsers need their cache to be cleared.

Most browsers will auto-clear cache after a set amount of time. If its properly configured, or if you close the browser, some clear the cache.

As for your question, i don't think there is anything on the Flash side.

thanks Steven. It looks like I have to rename the file to assure the next time the user visits the website, they load the latest flash document - it doesnt seem to have the same problems with a regular static image though...

I didn't think about changing filenames as a method because it is kind of a tedious workaround but i'm glad you found a solution.
