    Let's go forum camping

    I think this could be fun. It's like a "flash mob" but we just go to other sites to look around. The idea:

    - We choose a site (kirupa, ultrashock, any other forum) and sign up for it
    - Then we somebody creates "The Flashkit thread" and we spend all day there posting about random stuff (as we usually do here).
    - Then we leave. We could do this once a month, just to go "camping" and get to know other sites.

    What do you think?

    I think it would be more entertaining to not make any indication and to carry on as if nothing unusual is taking place. See how long it takes a "local" to piece together the clues and trace it back to FK.

    Where are we going to first then?

    We need to coordinate time zones... Are we mostly US/Europe?
    This Friday works quite well...

    as long as the newcomers start an official thread, I wouldn't have a problem.
    We would be respecting any forums laws, so there should be no reason to bother people. It'd be random, probably a bit confusing, but the intentions is to go camping an just change environments for a bit.

    Regarding usernames, I'd use the same if available, so we know who's fk and who's not.

    Suggested forums:
    forums.isteroids. com (Steroids)
    serebiiforums. com (pokemon)
    trekbbs. com (star trek)
    idolforums .com (american idol)
    boards.theforce .net (star wars)

    Time: I'm on a -5 timezone.
    Not sure if we can coordinate so we go at the same time. Maybe we just start a thread and post there for one day or two.

    Maybe we can start a thread with something related to the forum, but a bit off. For example, in the american idol forum, we could start a thread like "contestant a and contestant b are dating", or in the star trek "I heard there's going to be a new star trek game for the atari 2600". Then we hijack our own thread with random stuff.
