    An all-European affair, who would have thought it at the beginning of the round of 16.

    ah, so the final competitors are decided. Spain over Germany with a 73rd minute goal to win the match 1 - 0 ...and now for Spain v Netherlands.

    If Spain win they will have a rare double - European championship + World cup in the same year.

    Picked the winner for the third place

    I enjoyed that game. Germany played without 3 top players, Lahm, Klose and Podolski. That shows the team spirit and that it is not so important to have one of those messias players.

    Tomorrow I think Spain will win. They are very strong. My guess is 1:0 for Spain.

    Germany over Uruguay 3-2 to be the third-place winners overnight. Just one game left now and it will be over for another four years.


    I am sure the German team will be better in four years than they were throughout this cup, they had a real goalfest and will be hungry.

    Spain wins 1 - 0 ....congratulations to them. A rare double, European champions and now world champions.

    A pretty boring game where both teams played for safety and the goal was scored in the last 2 minutes of the second period of extra time.

    Too bad for the Netherlands.

    Agree re 'somewhat boring' ....sadly, the final was a dull game for 115 minutes, with both teams playing for safety.
