How long does new thread moderation usually take?

I posted a thread a few hours ago and it still hasn't appeared. How long do they usually take? it said something about it needing moderation before appearing, but I'm worried that because I had external links (to explain my problem) it might not have passed. Are we told if threads are declined?

Looks like it took right there at an hour or so. And given the amount of posts we have to sort through, that's rather fast.

Ah yes it popped up at last. I haven't posted anything here for quite a while so the delay took me by surprise. Sucks that spammers have made post moderation necessary.

Depends when you post it. That was very early here on the US east coast.
