Question Heavy SWF File Size! :( ??

Hi! I have an expandable banner project to do and the final swf file has to be under 40kb. My swf size is actually 144kb and I don't know what to do to get to 40kb.

I've tryed to compress my images but I can't to 40kb even if they are all squashed up.

I've tryed also to load my PNG's file externally using Loader but it just don't decrease the swf size.

    I'm using AS2 and Flash CS3!

Any help would be very appreciated!

    Thanks!

did you try to resize your PNG file? In fact, you can get the PNG into jpg(just use the paint in windows save as jpg) and that will help to decrease your file size. But the quality of the file will be lower.

I can't get them to jpg because they have transparency.

    What I've done....

    1. I loaded all my PNGs externally with the component Loader.
    2. I checked the Compress Movie box in the Flash Output Settings.

    Result: 140KB to 38KB!
