    Getting started with Android

I've been making flash games off and on for 10 years or so, and recently got an android phone which I'd like to start developing for in flash.

I've never made anything for mobile devices before, so I was hoping to get a few pointers in the right direction...

First question, I'll need to upgrade to CS5 in order to publish to 10.1, right? My Galaxy S doesnt have 10.1 available yet, unless I void the warranty by flashing the beta android 2.2, but it seems to play even old AS1 games without flash player 10.1. So, does publishing as 10.1 have a significant performance increase, or is it more to do with the different UI, ie. multi-touch, accelerometer etc.

As far as Android is concerned, we can currently target Flash 10.1 or Air 2.5.1 on Froyo (or Gingerbread soon), however, it is also possible to develop for Air on Eclair if it's needed.
