I want a new lens for my camera (50mm) and a bread maker. A little skint this year though, so might just have to be a slinky.

I'd kinda like a Kinect or a PS3 Move but all my consoles are on their way to Germany so I probably wont see them again until Feb.
More than anything I'd like 3 days to rest and catch up on homework.

I was thinking of the PS3 Move, but I'm not impressed with any of the titles yet, will wait and see, My immediate shopping list is a newer Phone, either an iPhone 4 or an Android, and a new lens to pelace my dying 17-85 mm canon and for Christmas/new year/My Birthday I'll get me a new canon the 5D Mark II, so perhaps the new lens to replace should be an EF series

I'd say go a generation or 2 back on the Powershot G series(even though the new G12 is delicious with HD video and other bells and whistles) if you want a decent camera. a DSLR will only make you want to spend more money on good glass and I have a feeling this will only be a hobby/snap shot thing for you.

I could care less about phones in general. If I were looking I'd wait for Sony's Playstation phone.

In the affordable not practical range I think of sound libraries specifically

They don’t look like they’re compatible with each other.

Maybe not directly. But, consecutively, eating and sleeping is very compatible.

Also another big contender in this round of P&S is the Canon Powershot S95. It is VERY similar in quality to the G12 but it is in a more compact case so you lose the hot shot and a few other bells and whistles in comparison but it is a much more pocketable camera if that's a selling point for you.

Obviously this has some sort of professional lighting but it still shows off what this little guy is capable of- incredible.

yeah but thats listed at $400 if i'm going to spend $400 why not just get something that has the potential to expand and grow? I could get a d40 packaged for maybe $100 more

Just thinking of options that are a complete package. A DLSR is a slippery slope to your bank account.

If you want to go DLSR and I'm obviously a Canon pusher- I saw a 30D go for around 300-350 and a kit lens can be had for around $100 if you get lucky- that'd be an awesome start.
