    resolved [RESOLVED] Creating shaped button

    Hi,

I'm trying to make a map with buttons as different countreys, I have pictures of the different hit area's.

But I realized that if I put in the picture as the hit area it will become a square hit area and I wan't the hit area to be an exact shape like the countrey, can I do this?

Because when I save an image in photoshop it will always be square when I import it to flash as the hit area.

I hope you understand what I meen.

The finished result should look abit like this:

    Thank's

You've got a couple of options.

    1) Draw the country in Flash. If it's just a solid shape there's no reason it shouldn't be a vector.

    2) Define the hit area in Flash. If you're using a button symbol, you can edit that and define the hit area. You can do this by tracing the country in Flash, or by breaking apart the bitmap, selecting the Lasso tool and then choosing the magic wand option (on the lower left), and then selecting and deleting the areas you don't want.
