    Telltarget in CS5 does not work

    I just got cs5 and this is the script I normally use for certain mouse over events. I want my button to tell a certain movie clip to play a certain frame.

    //MOUSE OVERS
    on (rollOver) {
    tellTarget ("culture") {
    gotoAndPlay(2);

    }

    }

    Why doesnt this work?

    If you're publishing for AS3, the reason it doesn't work is that that code is not AS3.

    If you're not publishing for AS3, then you're in the wrong forum.

    I am publishing in as3. How do I accomplish this in as3?

    I'll assume you want to stick to timeline coding, because if you still wanted to use telltarget then the concept of classes would probably blow your mind.

    In the main timeline, put code like this where "someButton" is the instancename of whatever instance you want to react to mouseOver.
    Code:
    someButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, moveCulture);
    function moveCulture(e:MouseEvent):void{
      culture.gotoAndPlay(2);
    }

    I'm pretty sure tell target was deprecated in as2!
