Do you actually think NBC and the other big guys would actually sell though? It would have to be a BIG offer...and even then.

This again? Google is as evil as any other corporation out there... they want to improve their bottom line. It's the fact that the customers are willing enough to sign away their information so readily is the real problem. Stupidity is the real problem.

    Paranoia solves nothing either.

I was waiting for that. So now I've got to take a bus 40 miles out of town to get a 20 burner phone to sign up for a google account just so I can watch hulu Is that what you're saying?

Don't fret, Frets. I'm sure you won't have to go to those lengths just to watch those edge-of-your-seat, gripping reruns of Detroit 187 on Hulu.

No longer a Flashkit mod, not even by stealth

Insanity is just a point of view. After all, the world looks pretty normal through your own underpants.

This would be awesome. Hulu is my only tv and to be able to watch it on my Revue would be sick.

You missed the whole youtube ordeal I went thru. Google refuses me access to my youtube account because I don't have a google account. Google now requires a valid phone number to open an account where by they text you to verify that you are a human. Captcha works just fine for verification purposes. Google is on a fishing expedition and may possibly sell phone numbers en masse to data miners.

google will sent a verification code over your mobile not just to confirm that you are not an alien but also you have to put that code to the google's page to complete the registration. But I think they will not going to disclose your personal mobile number to public. For that they must have potential policies.

If you had a gmail account before they demanded phone registration that would be the case.

As some recall google merged youtube and google accounts awhile back. One could not log into youtube unless one had a google account. New Google/Gmail accounts now require phone registration.

I've had the same unlisted landline since 93. Regardless of how many do not call things I've gone thru the phone would ring non-stop with tele marketers. I had to keep the phone for my dsl. About 6 years ago I unplugged it for good. I get random telemarketing on my cell already. The last thing I want is my cell to be as absorbed with telemarketing as my home phone was.
