Help with Event Listner

I am trying to learn more AS3. The attached is a simple navigation I have used in AS2. I am lost I have tried everything I know from AS2 without any success.

I am trying to get one of the submenu links to link to unique URL, right now it links to parent clip url.

took a brief look at your file, you have a listener on the main timeline for the button. when you rollover the button, it expands but it is still within that clip that has the listener on it. what you should do is attach all the listeners to a button within that "home", "about", etc buttons and assign the click to that.
