    Blu Ray Calamity

Need to back up a tonne and a half of HD videos I've accumulated over the past 4 years and over 6 Terrabytes of HDD space

Any preference, I was inclined to go LG but all the customers have the same problem that LG discontinues a certain model and stops support, and I've been bitten this way twice with BR-players from LG

what's any of you lot using and what media do you use and for what purposes mainly?

Stopped collecting movies a while back as there's so much content available through various web/cloud resources.

I'm confused at your question though...are you backing up HDD data to a disc-based medium? Hard drives are so cheap now -- why not just have a RAID type redundant system if you must keep that much around?

I was considering that as an alternative, but I like the idea of a library of Disks for mobility and sharing those videos with Family and friends

Just throw it all away and get a Netflix account.

    Hmm. That's a bummer.

In that case, I suggest moving.

There's a good bottle of cough syrup in it for you, information?
